Decided to take give this meme a try :)

1. Cyborg 009 by Shotaro Ishinomori- I used to watch it on Toonami every day after middle school. I'm not sure what compelled me so much to watch it so young but everything about it has stuck with me even now. I love the concept of cyborgs and their struggle of finding the humanity within themselves; a theme i'm currently using for REVOLVER. Danny's scarf is an homage to Cyborg 009 :)

2. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex- So....much....cybertechnology! SAC took my fascination of cyborgs to a whole new level.

3. Birdy the Mighty Decode- A-1 Pictures had done an amazing job with the animation. Very fluid and dynamic!

4. Chris Sanders- Adorable Pinups and whimsical illustrations. I loved his work on Lilo and Stitch. Visit his site! [link]

5. Paul Pope- I discovered his work in my Intro to Sequential Art class when we had to mimic artist's styles for a project. He has some awesome brush work and his graphic novel Heavy Liquid is super psychedelic. He has a blog [link]

6. Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra by Bryan Konietzco and Michael Dante DiMartino- I watched ATLA in 4th grade and I'm still obsessed!! It is my childhood!! The storytelling, the world building, character designs, everything! I hope I could meet them someday :) They both have tumblrs Bryan-[link] and Mike- [link]

7. LeSean Thomas- i'm so inspired by this guy's dynamic anime compositions and storyboards. Also I love how he's currently working in Korea, something I've wanted to do myself. I'm hoping to achieve his level of dynamism one day. He's also a very positive and motivational person which I find to be a great role model quality :) Here's his Deviantart-[link]

8. Jon Foster- such an amazing concept artist! His work has inspired me the most to be a concept artist for animation. His illustrations are out of this world and so compelling. [link]

9. Military uniforms- I have a fascination with the military and their uniforms. Maybe it's because my grandpa used to take me and my sister to the air force base a lot when we were little.

10. Glean Keane- If I had at least a smidge of his ability character animation ability I would be blessed. Gosh, he is such an inspiration- Here's a fanmade blog of him [link]

11. Don Bluth- Yet another childhood icon of mine. I grew up with his movies (Anastasia, We're Back!: A Dinosaur's Story, and an American Tail were my all time favorite movies that he worked on). Beautiful storytelling :)

12. Titmouse Inc.- my latest in-house animation obsession. I'm debating about whether I want to work for them in the near future and maybe even work with them on REVOLVER. We'll see :) -[link]

13. Studio 4C- Everything about Studio 4C's work is breathtaking! Absolutely stunning! What more can I say? If you haven't seen Genius Party you definitely should!- [link]

14. Arizona- My hometown is Mesa, AZ. I've lived there since I was 4 up until I was 12. I still call the vast desert landscape and mountainous valleys my home. I miss it a lot. I particularly love the Navajo and Apache art and culture that still lingers. I'm planning on centering my senior thesis around the Native American people of Arizona.

15. Studio MIR- the people who brought you the new Thundercats, the Boondocks, ATLA and LOK. I'm very impressed by their work when their such a small studio. Hopefully my work will take me there someday :)
